Tahini sauce

Delicious with Falafel & roasted cauliflower

 
 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 cup tahini

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 lemon

  • 1/4 Tsp salt

  • 1 garlic clove

  • 1/4 Tsp chilli paprika

  • 1/4 Tsp cumin

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Crush the garlic cloves with a little salt

  • To a medium sized bowl, add the crushed garlic, tahini, spices and water,mix well.

  • Lastly add the lemon juice & stir to combine. You may find that the sauce thickens slightly- if its too thick, add a little more water.

  • Transfer the tahini sauce to a serving bowl and enjoy cold.

RECIPE NOTES

  • Tahini will last up to a week in the fridge. Keep in an airtight container. The Sauce can be used on many different meats & as a salad dressing.

 

Can be used for fried or baked cauliflower, fish falafel, meat shawarma and kibbe.
